Age-by-age curriculum guide
Homeschool activities and lessons for ages 6–8
Early elementary learners can combine short independent practice with read-aloud instruction, written or drawn responses, and real-world projects. Parents can choose either adjacent age version when a child needs more support or challenge.
Parent guidance: Ask the child to explain one answer, make one artifact, and connect one idea to home or outdoors. Completion alone is a weak learning signal.
Inspect the same lesson at different ages
Every sample below exposes four distinct age versions. Open two adjacent levels when a child is between stages; age is a starting point, not a diagnosis or fixed track.

Build a balanced day
- Choose one short literacy or math block at the child’s current level.
- Add a game only where active practice helps.
- Ask for a drawing, explanation, model, or written response.
- Move off screen with an activity, chore, movement break, or outdoor investigation.
- Use the parent record as a memory aid—not as proof of mastery by itself.
