1. Cells: Building Blocks of Life
   Example: We begin the body with its smallest living unit: cells are the basic unit of life, and all living things are made of one or more cells. This idea is called "cell theory," first stated in the 1830s. Most of your cells are too small to see without a microscope — a single drop of blood has about 5 million red blood cells.
2. Skin: Your Largest Organ
   Example: After cells, the next level up is tissues making organs — and your largest organ is skin. An adult's skin weighs about 8 pounds and covers roughly 2 square meters of surface area. Skin makes up about 16% of your body weight.
3. The Skeleton
   Example: After cells and skin, the next body system is the skeletal system: the human skeleton has 206 bones in adults. Babies begin life with approximately 270 bones, but as they grow through childhood, many of these bones fuse together, resulting in the 206 adult bones.

How age adaptation works

The lesson record contains separate fact sets and quiz questions for Pre-K, kindergarten, early elementary, and upper elementary. This is not the same paragraph with a smaller font: vocabulary, detail, and question demands can change by age band. Parents can still choose a different level if their child needs it.

Assessment and records

Course quizzes provide immediate practice feedback. Completion and progress can feed parent-managed records, but a quiz score is not a teacher-issued grade, independent diagnosis, or accredited course credit.
