  1. The Four Seasons
    Example: We begin weather with the largest repeating Earth-space pattern: Earth is tilted 23.5 degrees on its axis, which causes the seasons. The tilt likely happened from a giant impact early in Earth's history โ€” possibly the same collision that formed the Moon, about 4.5 billion years ago. Without this tilt, every place on Earth would have the same weather year-round and the planet would not have seasons. Mars is also tilted (about 25 degrees) and has seasons; Venus has almost no tilt and no seasons.
  2. The Water Cycle
    Example: After seasons, the next big weather pattern to understand is Earth's recycling system: the water on Earth today is the same water that existed billions of years ago โ€” it just keeps recycling! Water is the only substance on Earth that exists naturally in all three states: solid, liquid, and gas. The total amount of water never changes (about 1.4 billion cubic kilometers), but it constantly cycles between oceans, atmosphere, land, and living things. A water molecule might spend thousands of years in the deep ocean, then minutes evaporating and falling as rain.
  3. Wind & Air Pressure
    Example: After learning how water cycles through the atmosphere, the next step is the force that moves that air and moisture around: differences in air pressure drive wind โ€” air always moves from high pressure to low pressure. The bigger the pressure difference over a short distance, the faster the wind blows. Mountains, valleys, and oceans all change local pressure and create local wind patterns. Pilots use pressure differences to estimate the direction and strength of winds aloft.

How age adaptation works

The lesson record contains separate fact sets and quiz questions for Pre-K, kindergarten, early elementary, and upper elementary. This is not the same paragraph with a smaller font: vocabulary, detail, and question demands can change by age band. Parents can still choose a different level if their child needs it.

Assessment and records

Course quizzes provide immediate practice feedback. Completion and progress can feed parent-managed records, but a quiz score is not a teacher-issued grade, independent diagnosis, or accredited course credit.
