Complete lesson syllabus

Every lesson below contains age-banded facts and quiz questions. Some lessons also include a make-or-explain artifact prompt. Titles are shown in their current course order.

  1. Ocean Zones
Example: We begin our ocean course by mapping the ocean vertically, because the ocean is not uniform โ€” it is layered. The five ocean zones are: sunlight (0-660 ft), twilight (660-3,300 ft), midnight (3,300-13,100 ft), abyssal (13,100-19,700 ft), and hadal (19,700+ ft).
  2. Tides & the Moon
Example: We mapped the ocean vertically; now we watch it move. The most regular motion is the tide. Tides are caused by the Moon's gravitational pull creating two tidal bulges โ€” one toward the Moon, one on the opposite side.
  3. Ocean Currents
Example: After tides โ€” the ocean's rhythm โ€” we move to the ocean's long-range plumbing: currents, which redistribute heat and nutrients across the whole planet. Surface currents are driven by wind and shaped by the Coriolis effect and continents.
  4. Tsunamis
  5. Coral Reefs
  6. Whales & Sharks
  7. The Deep Sea
  8. Bioluminescence
  9. Polar Oceans
  10. Ocean Exploration
  11. Ocean Pollution & Conservation
  12. Ocean Conservation

How age adaptation works

The lesson record contains separate fact sets and quiz questions for Pre-K, kindergarten, early elementary, and upper elementary. This is not the same paragraph with a smaller font: vocabulary, detail, and question demands can change by age band. Parents can still choose a different level if their child needs it.

Assessment and records

Course quizzes provide immediate practice feedback. Completion and progress can feed parent-managed records, but a quiz score is not a teacher-issued grade, independent diagnosis, or accredited course credit.
