  1. What is Art?

    Example: Artists are observers — they look closely at things and then show what they see on paper or in another medium. Looking carefully is one of the most important skills any artist learns. Drawing what you actually see (not what you think you see) takes practice.
  2. Drawing Fundamentals

    Example: The five basic lines are straight, curved, zigzag, wavy, and spiral. Every drawing uses some mix of these five. Learning to draw each one cleanly is the foundation for every other drawing skill.
  3. Color Theory: Making Meaning with Color

    Example: A color wheel shows all colors arranged in a circle and how they relate to each other. The 12-color wheel has 3 primary, 3 secondary, and 6 tertiary colors. Artists use the wheel as a guide for picking color combinations that work well together.

How age adaptation works

The lesson record contains separate fact sets and quiz questions for Pre-K, kindergarten, early elementary, and upper elementary. This is not the same paragraph with a smaller font: vocabulary, detail, and question demands can change by age band. Parents can still choose a different level if their child needs it.

Assessment and records

Course quizzes provide immediate practice feedback. Completion and progress can feed parent-managed records, but a quiz score is not a teacher-issued grade, independent diagnosis, or accredited course credit.
